Primal

Well, there you have it. My very first post since I started to change my diet to a primal/paleo version. I am writing this in English to make it easier to understand for the foreign readers… I know, I am Dutch, some of you are Dutch, but primal is not really getting a ground here in the Netherlands. Yet.

First of all, if you are reading this and have no clue what a primal diet means I’d suggest you go read a bit more about it, or see this movie “Paelo in a nutshell“. If your English is letting you down, you can try this Dutch explanation written by a colleague of mine.

Now that we cleared up that funny new word I’d like to get to business. It all started when I saw a colleague of mine have a very, very good looking dinner. He twitters (is that even a word?) about it and posts al his meals on-line. The fact that this way of eating improved his sport results, personal state and some other things made me very curious to try it out too. And there you have it, the birth of my paleo diet.

The first few days I was eating fruit like a maniac (3 apples and 2 banana’s a day I mean), but after a while that went away. I am now starting the third week and I already have lost my typical 4pm dip and I sleep a lot better. I get to bed a bit earlier and, but I also wake up earlier and I feel much more relaxed in the morning.

The reason I am now turning this blog from a sort of hobby kind of logbook into this more personal diary is simple. I want to keep track of what I eat and if this all has some sort of effect on me and my body. You all have to know that I am not some health freak or sport junkie. I am just an average guy and I don’t really believe it till I have felt it myself ;) So this blog will be containing recipe’s, pictures and stories about me, my food, but also my hobby! A little bit of plastic modeling can’t hurt, sniffing glue can though… See you next post!
