B&W

Allright, I did a lot, but can’t really show. My girfriend’s out of town and she’s got the camera… The other ones I have lying around are analogue so today you’ll have to do it with scans! I got started on my personal masking challenge: The Weaponry. Didn’t really made a good start, you can read more about it on the progress-page.

As for the rest: I’m also bussy with the christmass presents for my girlfriend and her family. Still have a lot to draw… When the party is over I’ll make some scans and upload the whole lot. Untill that time I can’t tell you what it will be, it’s the internetz, everybody can read it!

Faia!

Allrighty, I made a bit of effort to finish the line art for the weapons of the Kämpfer. It’s going to be simple, just the darkgray with white camouflage. I think this will give me some trouble with masking, but I see it as a challenge :).

All those weapon parts are also already primed and ready to get preshaded. As for the other kit I am working on, that is on hold. I painted it a long time ago with brushes and enamel paint, but never finished it. To give it his new paintjob I sanded all the parts and sprayed them with there mathing color with a Hansa acrylic paint. It looks like this now:

As for my paper and other school related stuff… I won’t be able to get my diploma untill september next year. It has something to do with the fact that I am no longer enlisted at the ArtEZ and the next moment that I can enlist is in september. I’ll then graduate on the second of september and that way everything just worked out fine. Luckily I don’t really need my diploma right away, so it can wait a year…but still.

Paper and a Kämpfer

I have been allready slacking this blog. It might be just because I still have to get used to having a blog again. And the fact that I work four days a week now and still have to finish some school stuff. On the bright side, my paper is accepted and I got a 7 (in the Netherlands rating is from 1 to 10 with 10 as the very very best), in the US that problably will be a C. So good enough to pass the test anyway! Now I have to hand it in, read; design it.

I am thinking about printing the text and the images on two seperate types of paper and handbinding the whole lot together. It might just a bit too much, but I enjoy that handwork so much!

As for the other handwork, the Gunpla, I got a bit progress on the Kämpfer, so check out the progress page! I am also working on a model chair. Since I am a fully graduated bacheler of arts I have to surround me with precious pieces of art, or at least some scalemodels so I got my hands on a Red an Blue Chair scale 1:6. Well my father got for an interview he gave several years ago for some architect, but he never finished it. So I started working on the little sucker and I will post pictures up in a few days. This kit is being painted with the paints I got with my airbrush. They are from Hansa and are super fine, but take a while to dry though…

Counting down the days

Initially I was going to work on the Keampfer this weekend, but I went along with my girlfriend to Cologne to her parents. This weekend was the first advent and in the Netherlands we first have ‘Sinterklaas’ on the 5th of december and after that everything gets christmassly. But no, off to Cologne and some of you might now that during the days before the holy fest there is the famous ‘Weihnachtsmarkt’.

That Weihnachtsmarkt or Christmas fair/market is a hell during the weekends. Bus loads of tourists are dumped in the city and everybody drinks Glühwein, eats Currywurst and tries to keep warm. All in all, we visited the market. Noticed it was way too busy so we left and then we spent the other day just at home doing nothing, like a Sunday should be.

Now I have to finish my Sinterklaas presents quickly before friday and still buy some gifts for Christmas too! December always cleans out your wallet. Every year after another :)
